The gentle curves with the mirrored reflection of the curves of these plants are what drew my attention. There is an elegance to these plants, and a calming effect is created by the undersaturated green and yellow of the leaves. The dark background allows the plants to stand, and the small white pieces of plant material and slight ripples in the surface reflection identify this location as a slowly meandering body of water.
The delicate nature of these leaves suggests an impermanence that may be totally obliterated with the next heavy rainstorm. I feel fortunate to have discovered this scene on that particular day.
